Our Story
CSI was established in 1988 as a full-service investigative and security firm. We are located in Pittsburgh, PA with worldwide affiliates. Our business paradigm is simple: to provide the most professional services possible while maintaining an ethical standard and client satisfaction.

Most CSI investigators are former law enforcement professionals with many years’ experience involving complex criminal and civil cases and court testimony.
EXECUTIVE PROTECTION
CSI began as bodyguards for individuals with safety concerns. Our clients include celebrities, corporate officers, and others with threat concerns. All our bodyguards are former law enforcement professionals and are H.R. 218 qualified to carry weapons anywhere in the continental United States. Off-shore assignments are conducted by our many skilled affiliates.

Whether it is questioned document examination (QDE) or profiling through graphology, we offer court certified experts in the field.

PATRICK PICCIARELLI
Founder
Patrick founded CSI in 1988. He is the author of numerous published books and professional articles, holds BA and MA degrees in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and an MA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University, in addition to a Doctorate in Criminal Justice from California University of Pennsylvania.
A former U.S. Army machine gunner in Vietnam, Mr. Picciarelli spent 20 years in the NYPD, retiring as a lieutenant, and is a licensed private investigator and APA certified polygraphist.
